My project is not in Dallas or Plano, will you drive to other areas and do you charge for drive time? We work on projects all over the DFW Metroplex, from ranches out in Weatherford to new construction in Frisco. It is vital that we be present and an involved member of the project team at your job site to ensure that the design is executed correctly and efficiently, therefore we do not charge for drive time. While we have a Dallas design studio, it is most common for us to meet with our clients in their own existing homes, at the job site, or at area showrooms.

What size projects are you typically involved with? We are usually brought in at the planning stages of high-end large new construction or extensive remodel projects. However, size in this case does not simply refer to the square footage of the property, it can also be about the budget. Though the home or room may be small, the budget or vision for the space may be grand with the budget to match and it is our job to make that space come to life no matter the size.

How quickly can you get started working on my project?
Typically we schedule meetings a week in advance, but this depends on the time of the year and our current project load. We like to work with our clients a minimum of three months before construction actually begins to plan and ensure that design decisions have been made in advance so that the project can stay on schedule and budget.

Can you create a floorplan for my existing furniture pieces? Yes, as part of a large remodel or new construction project.

Can you order custom furniture for me? Yes, as part of a large remodel or new construction project.

Can you help me accessorize and style my space? Styling and accessory services are offered as a part of a turn-key level of services to create a cohesive style for our larger remodel or new construction projects.

What is Universal Design?
Universal Design considers the needs and abilities of all possible users of an interior, from children to the elderly as well as those with physical limitations. Accessible design is a similar term that focuses on spaces that are planned and designed to accommodate and account for wheelchair accessibility and others with mobility challenges. A third related term is Aging in Place, where the space is designed for an able-bodied user but has also incorporated items such as blocking for grab bars, non-slip flooring surfaces, ceiling-mounted lift tracks and other design elements that would allow one to continue living in their home as their physical abilities diminish. Beyond this, universal design in a residential context ensures that your dream home can stay your dream home as your needs and lifestyle change and that the widest possible range of people can use and enjoy the space. This is done through thoughtful space planning in bathrooms, door openings, and small spaces, so that these accommodations are worked seamlessly into the design.
