The objective of this addition and remodel of a 1930's Tudor Style home in a historic neighborhood was to seamlessly connect to the new pool and garden in the back of the existing house to create an open concept kitchen/dining/covered patio space with a bold black and white color palette while still referencing period details to create a unified design language. Clear sight lines with enhanced natural light throughout the living spaces with flexible cooking, dining and entertaining zones support the clients' modern lifestyle. Subtle textures and patterns in the countertops and backsplash tile, a coffered ceiling and warm wood floors add depth without competing with the monochromatic color scheme.
