Gibson Gimpel Interior Design works on high-end new construction and remodel projects all over the Dallas-Fort-Worth area. Our design services range based on the level of our involvement in the project, not necessarily the budget, and are listed below:Level 1: Finish and Material Selections
This level consists of consultation and design services for remodel or redecorating projects that require expertise in finish and material selections for construction(i.e. paint colors, tile and countertop materials, flooring, plumbing and lighting fixtures, etc.) The building process operates in a particular order and it is our goal to guide you through this process and help you understand the steps necessary in decision making to prevent you from potentially making costly mistakes and to limit the stresses of renovations to make your project an enjoyable experience. We offer our expert advice and guidance with selections to work within the scope and budget of the project so that the end result is a new space that fits the client’s vision. At this level, our services are limited to our time consulting and providing expertise to create an overall design plan that is then executed by you and your contractor. There are no drawing or accessory styling services at this level, however, often many projects that start at this level evolve beyond this into additional services.Level 2: Remodeling
In addition to what is included in the first level of service, this level is for medium scale remodels, such as kitchen or master suite renovations and additions, that require more extensive guidance with design, consultation, and conceptualization services to select materials, finishes, and furnishings. At this level we often meet with contractors and clients on the job site to discuss and review architectural and design details. These services typically do not include styling, but often include CAD drawings and floor plans.
Level 3: New Construction
This level includes full design services, from architectural planning to furnishing selections, for large scale new construction projects, entire home remodels, or historic restorations. We are typically brought in at paper stages when architect plans are being finalized in order to ensure that the design encompasses the full project conceptualization and is continued throughout the home. This level of service includes a close working relationship with the client and the contractor throughout the building process. A furniture floor plan is created to include new and existing furniture, and as a final step, styling services with accessories and art are also optional as a package in order to create a unified look for the space.
